What is Supima Cotton?

Supima cotton is a high-quality cotton grown exclusively in the United States, known for its superior softness, strength, and color retention. It’s a type of extra-long staple (ELS) cotton, meaning its fibers are at least 1.5 inches long, which gives it unique benefits compared to regular cotton. The long fibers make Supima cotton more durable, resistant to pilling, and better at holding dyes, resulting in vibrant colors that last longer. This makes it a premium choice for high-end clothing, bed linens, and other textiles where comfort, durability, and color quality are prioritized.

The name “Supima” is a blend of “superior” and “Pima,” with Pima cotton being another type of ELS cotton known for similar qualities but not necessarily grown in the U.S.
